broke hood poper
So this morning I broke the handle off the pop hood pull lever. Does a new one just slide onto the metal rod or do I need some other complicated ****? I hate when these little things break.

Mine broken on me once...i know the feeling. Actually the replacement is not too shabby. Just removing the cable hidden behind the fender will be the bitch part of it.....a couple of plastic mounting straps...Besides that, it shouldn't take more than an hour to do.

NO you just replace it with one bolt. Honda sells just the lever or if you buy the kit you can get the lever with the cable together.

I just need the lever, but it's just one of those annoying things to have to fix...
Thanks for the input though if it where to have been the cable.

congratulations!! you are now a member.
I broke mine too....and my friend broke his twice on his civic.
Why bother replacing it...it'll probably break again.
Plus...you can still pop the hood you just have to reach far back and pull the cable. Its my new security feature. LOL

i guess im also apart of the club, my trick was to use a yellow rubber glove to be able to grab what is left of the plastic lever to open the hood (glove is for better grip lol), but i stopped using the glove and now just pop the panel to open the hood, i knoe how u feel about it being annoying, good luck
