The Civic coupe has a tray that runs across the rear, behind the top of the rear seats, that provides rigidity. A seperate bar wouldn't make a noticeable difference. What suspension mods have you made so far?

If you don't plan to add a roll bar, but want a little more rigidity, you might look into the typical front and rear upper and lower shock tower bars. Of course there's hundreds of different brands and styles.
If your car is a 92-95 coupe, the front lower control bar from a 94up Integra will bolt in nicely, and should be really cheap from a junkyard.

how about traction bars... what are you trying to achieve more rigidity for (drag, autox, etc...)?

If you're willing, a bolt in roll bar would be a great next step, and it's not very expensive.

thats only on the 96 and up. Ej's dnt have this.
You can also do a B pillar, c Pillar, harness bar. Also you can make some type of set up in the truck useing bars that connect the two sides of the trunk.
