make sure all your plugs are in good in the alt. also check the 100 amp fuse under the hood.

ok well i checked the plugs, they seem fine, nice and snug, but i cant find the 100 amp fuse you mentioned, it should be in the fuse box right? (dont hate)

The battery light is controlled by the alternator. How do you know the alternator is good? Any CEL's? What's the setup?

You can download a manual for your car here...
http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/
In the electrical section there is a great troubleshoooting flowchart for checking the 1. battery
2. light circuit
3. alternator/regulator.
The problem is probably a fuse, voltage regulator,(part of the alternator) or alternator if you have already replaced the battery.

Exactly. Autozone testing of Honda alternators has produced more than it's fair share of false positives. And using those alternators from there - good luck. It seems like a 1 in 3 shot of getting a decent one from places like Autozone.

Yeah I had to replace mine on my old Wrangler and the first one we bought didn't even work Second one work good for the rest of the time I had it at least.

i've had my alternator checked and i was told it was fine, then when i changed it out, the car was fixed. but the one method that has NEVER failed me has been to turn the car ON and disconnect the negative battery cable. if the car stays on, you're golden. if it turns off, the alternator is bad. good luck.
