Is there any simple fix to bring the idle down. Someone was telling me to replace the IAC?

might just be your throttle cable is a little too tight, just the slightest bit of tension will cause it to be very high. you can adjust it on the bracket on the intake manifold, and it is also adj inside the car by the gas pedal.
