Default High Idle B20Z in EG

Roughly idles at 1200-1400 after warm up. no vacuum leaks that i know of. Sprayed carb cleaner all over the intake and all hoses with no luck. dizzy is retarded all the way so it doesnt idle at 2k. Idle screw is also screwed in all the way

any ideas?

it could be that you missed a vacuum line, your TB idle screw is all the way out (high idle), your IACV is malfunctioning, and thats about it. Don't retard the dizzy, put it back to how its supposed to be and then start with what i just suggested.

Also like Jimster said, to go along with the idle screw. The idle screw is turned in and out to control the opening of the throttle plate. If it is all the way in, the plate will be closed significantly. If it is out, vice versa. But to go further into detail, that screw is not going to do anything if your throttle cable is not adjusted properly. Loosen the (2) 12mm screws on your bracket, and make sure the throttle plate is sitting nearly closed or against that idle screw. This will help in your diagnosis. Also check your FITV under the throttle body. The plunger may be malfunctioning. If the throttle cable thing I mentioned does not fix it, then take off the throttle body and take the plate off the back of the FITV. Screw the plunger in with a phillips head screw driver. Do this after all precations are taken. Hope this helps.
