b16a in 91 hatch need help with vafc II
my car has a b16a and a y1 lsd tranny, the cars rev limiter is set a 7,590 rpm's so there for the car tops out at about 118mph can i set my rev limiter w/ my apexi vtec controller? i have the vetc set at 6,000. is 6000 a good spot to put it? I would like to change my rev limiter to about 8500 or so..... any one got some pointers or a web site that might help me?

What ECU do you have? I thought a Pr3 ECU redlines at 8200. For a b16 7600 sounds a little low. You could chip it and set your revs to 10,000 with the right valvetrain. If you are going to find the optimum settings on your VAFC for maximum power and best VTEC switchover point, find a place that will let you rent a dyno ($75/hr around here) and just play around with it. Just don't go too lean and you'll be set.

set your vtec to 4800.... he is running the stock 91 si hatch computer and using a vtec controller....get the right computer for it and use crome or uberdata have it tuned you will have more power than the vafc can do

wow.... so many noobs...
Unless you have a built motor, keep the VTEC engagement to stock settings. Where the hell do you guys get 4,600 and 4,800 rpm?!?!?! you dont gain crap from that, you probably lose more power if anything. might as well have it kick it at 800rpm. Stock settings for a stock B16 calls for 5,500 rpm VTEC engagement. stock rev limit is 8,200 so keep it that way.

Still doing nothing for his 7600 Rev Limit. Find yourself a Pr3 Ecu, and have it chipped so you don't need a knock sensor and the second 02. Keep your VTEC engagement close to stock and youll be set. **** plugs right in and all you got to do is run vtec pressure and VTEC solenoid wires. And unless you're doing an OBD1 conversion you cant use uberdata.
