Default alright, alright ..I need help

Ok, haven't had my vtec controller that long and I don't have the manual, so I need some advice or help. My vtec setting is set at 5300 and my secondary is set at 5200. When I hit vtec the controller says i'm hitting vtec at 4400 but i'm not. Its really kicking in at 5600. Needless to say I am confused of how this is supposed to be set. Could someone help me before I go insane!

Assuming it's a VAFC....

You're probably reading the VTi, which is when the ECU tells the VTEC solenoid to open. The VTo is the modified signal from the VAFC that tells the solenoid when to open.

If you modify the VAFC's monitor to show VTi and VTo, you will see VTi = ON from 4400rpm to redline, and the VTo will be ON from 5300rpm (or whatever you set it at) to redline.
