b16 block leaking around sleaves, help!
hi, i have a block that has been sleeved awhile ago and i just rebuilt the motor. when we started it up the 1st time it was fine till it got up to temp, then it started to knock. i shut it off elementally and in investigated the knock. there was coolant in my oil. i drooped the pan and pressurized the coolant system and coolant is leaking out around my sleeves. is there any way to fix this?
i have heard of ppl using Devcon to reinforce there block. idk if i could use this to not only reinforce my block but to seal it as well. i know bc the block is already sleeved that it would just be over kill and may make over heating issues, but i have way to much money in it already and a $50 fix compared to a $900 fix would be nice. and i have head of ppl fixing Honda gsr blocks with jb weld and it last years.
thanks
