auto d16y8 to manual b16b
i know that there have been plenty of posts in this forum about auto to manual swaps, and everyone is going to tell me to search. I have searched and i think ive gotten as much out of them as I can.
Heres the deal... I am getting a b16b on weds or thurs. of this week. Its for my 97 del sol. I ordered it from password last week and they said it would be here weds or thursday. I have a car show coming up in Winnipeg which i have to leave for on Friday morning. So now it looks like im going to be pulling an all nighter to get my swap finished. I am doing an auto d16y8 to a manual ctr motor. I want to check to make sure i have all the parts and that it is possible to do everything all at once if i have all the parts. here is what i have...
motor
tranny
ecu
axles
92-95 civic pedal assembly (will this one work in a del sol?)
clutch master cylinder
radiator hoses
stock ctr motor mounts
short shifter
header
getting a clutch line, but not sure what to use (any advice?)
random nuts and bolts
from what i have read, people have had problems with the tranny mount, i read in one post that the guy cut the bracket and rewelded it. i have also heard that you can use an integra rear motor mount. what should i do? i do not have a welder. and also, does anyone know of any additional problems that i could run into while doing this swap. keep in mind that i am not the one doing the swap (i probably couldnt do it on my own), my friend who is very very knowledgeable about hondas is doing it. thanks for your help/advice.
