Searched but no one talked about what it would cost.

Will need everything: Transmission, clutch, all lines and cylinders, mounts (if necessary) and linkage.

Just looking to see total costs of what you guys paid before I make someone an offer on a car.

FINAL TOTAL 1400, but thats ALL new parts when possible, all factory brand new hardlines, SS clutch line, act flywheel, exedy clutch, skunk 2 **** and shifter, the list of brand new parts goes on.....

This is for a D-Series, correct?

Is there somewhere I can get a list of every that I'd need?

there is noset amount of dollars for the swap

if you go to a junk yard and get a 5-speed sol and neck all the parts that are needed im sure it will be a couple hundred , if you go all new dealer/aftermarket your gonna pay a pretty penny, but the conversion could be dome for a couple hundred if you find the right parts for cheap!

yep d16y8, you can do it for under a grand if you get all used parts, search for auto to manual to find a list, theres tons of info

as for a list of parts

tranny and wat goes along with it, linkage,shifter,sensors,clutch,flywheel

then you need a clutch master cyl,line and slave cyl

then pedal assy

i belive eg bodies require a special mount from converting to 5-speed, inovative makes one i believe

then you have the whole wiring situation too- i guess just get a 5-speed ecu/wiring harness, and maybe a intakemanifold?

Now I think this car is a 1993. Does that mean it would have a D16Z6, and would this cause me to narrow my search for different tranny's than you would have with a D16Y8?

And, what is the optimal D-Series transmission? Could I get a OBD-0 ZC trans from one of the many JDm parts importers and it work on this OBD-1 (right?) '93 Sol?

I've found tons of information about swapping auto to manual in EG coupes and hatches. Is the process the exact same for a Sol?

One more. With my 5-Speed Mustang, and I think any other manuals for that matter, you have to depress the clutch before you can start it. How will I get that to function right in the swap? Is it in the pedal assembly (read something about new throttle cable and of course the clutch cable) or is it in the master or slave cylinder, or what?

well go look to see if its a z6 or not its your car, is it a si?

the y8 is the same as the z6 but with steel fork instead of aluminum but either is best, the obd0 zc is a cable tranny not hydro!

you dont need the clutch switch for starting since it has a auto harness!

Del sol S's and Si's both have D16Z6s, correct? Or does the S not have VTEC at all?

si= z6

Mine were all junkyard, except the tranny. I got that with a b7 block and shift linkage was included. I also put in an act prolite flywheel and exedy stg1 clutch, redid mainseal, new flywheel bolts, energy suspension mounts, and fron main seal. All together.

So here's a list ranging most expensive to least.

1-clutch and flywheel, approx. $500
2-hardlines $25
3- new slave cylinder $50
4- tranny, whatever you can get one for, $50-$250 we'll suppose $100
5- shift linkage, $25-$60 depending on if you get it from a junkyard or an ******* in nova
6-energy suspension, $15-$40 depending who you get it from.
7-rear main seal $<25 from napa
8-front main seal $<25 from napa
9-flywheel bolts, don't know
10- axles junkyard or H-T, shouldn't be expensive.
forgot to mention, auto to manual conversion, passwordjdm rear tranny mount. Stock manual one will make egine only be able to use 3 out of the 5 available due to awkward positioning.

So approx $375 with reasonable pricing.

I forgot to mention, CAP and CAR don't have any 92-00 civic on the yard with a manual tranny.

the delsol uses a different shift linkage than a civic. so you need to find only and only delsol shift linkage
