Anybody who has a done an EG tranny swap from the DX to the EX?
I still have my puny D15B7 with me and I'm done with the the basic bolt ons (headers , intake, exhaust and straight pipe). Now I'm thinking of doing a tranny swap. I might pick up an EX tranny this weekend. Any 92-95 EX tranny would do right? Is it worth doing it? HP gains?

No HP gains, its a tranny. But you will have better gearing to take advantage of any power the might b7 has. Its a very good upgrade for any d-series car. If you have spare money, i'd suggest also finding an LSD for that tranny while you are at it. Worth the money if you are staying d-series.

if u are staying all motor this is your best upgrade. also get a cx flywheel their the lightest stock flywheel and cost about 50 bucks shipped look around and pick one up and swap it in with your tranny changeover.

Are the Si and EX tranny the same? Anything pointers you guys can give me when buying a tranny?
