Default swap tranny or not..

i'm running a ex tranny on my d16 turbo setup..1st and 2nd gear barely sees boost while 3rd and so on does.. the tranny seems to be to short.. in my opinion should i get a dx tranny or a cx tranny.. or is it better this way.. i have a dx that tops off at 42mph and 2nd at 66mph and so on.. would that be good enough..

damit this sux, one person says long gears another person says shorter gears. I am just going to swap in the ex tranny and see what happens. If I dont like it I will just put my y7 tranny back in. No one seems to have any definate answers as to which tranny is better, or else they are hiding the results ina safe

fyi: the ex/si tranny gearing is very similar to the ls tranny, i would just stick with what you have.

shorter gearing = faster times...

dont listen to the tards that say longer gears are better..they are if you want ot go slower.

yup longer gears will give you a higher top end, it wont help acceleration.

i would recommend against getting the cx or dx tranny. they suck terribly. if u wanna make ur car slower, go ahead i guess. just lemme know and i'll straight trade u the dx i'm running right now.

get whatever is geared shorter, i'm guessing what you have is the best. and if you dont have boost in 1st or 2nd gear, you have one monsterously big turbo.
