best tranny swap for dx eg (searched)

I looked and I was wondering what is the best tranny swap for my 92 hatch? It has the stock dx motor in it?

A y8 tranny is the best d-series tranny. It has the shortest gearing and steel shifter forks.

it will bolt right up no problems. u can also look for 92-95 ex and si tranny's they don't have the steel shift forks but are essentially the same as the y8 (96-00 ex tranny's). the 92-95 si tranny from the hatch has a shorter 5th but that's the only difference gearing wise.
