99Civic Si tranny in doubt
have 124,000 miles on it, original owner....
got the 3rd gear synchro grind and hard to put in gear.. put some GM Friction Synchromesh and not help...well a week later, having trouble getting into 3rd, 4th, 5th, and reverse.....no problems with 1st or 2nd...goes in like butter....
so is it a broken clutch spring?
bent/broken shift fork?
something else broken...
clutch ? why all of a sudden can't get into any of the gears except 1st,2nd, and sometimes reverse...
debating should i take it somewhere for them to open it up and diagnosis or just buy a used tranny w/no grinds/shift problems

Be cautious of used tranny's. I bought one that was claimed to only have a slight 3rd gear grind. When I took it apart, 1st thru 3rd gear were complete trash! Just ordered a Gear Speed tranny then.
I'm not an expert at diagnosing tranny's, so not sure it its a synchro problem or a clutch fork problem.

Re: 99Civic Si tranny in doubt (Marauder)
If it's your clutch, then you should have an easier time of putting it in those gears when the car's off. It's hard to say though, it could be either of those. With 124,000 on the clock, if you've never had your clutch replaced it could be time.
