99 DX no crank w/cut wire. :thud: pics.
99 DX w/d16y7,
I know WHY it's not cranking but what can I do the wire is very close to the bigger part of the harness so i'm having a hard time stripping the one side. I've got the loom cleared and some of the wire cover just can't get the rest i'm not about to replace the whole harness cause of this. solder doesn't seem to be sticking take it to a garage ??
as you can see the one end is VERY close to the base I've had wires brake before and was able to twist/splice them input is welcome

Seems like you have enough wire exposed to use solder or use a solderless crimp connector to attach the wire.

It comes from the fuse box and yes it's a positive pump primes just no click or anything had the same issue when I accidently snagged the starter plug just dead nothing. solder isn't holding onto the wire and it's almost cut I've been real busy but i'm to try and peel back the last bit on the side closest to the bigger part of the harness. This may however be garage worthy will be the first time needing a garage since owning these cars if so. what i'm trying to do is get enough wire on both side so I can twist it together so I can at least drive it to a garage vs having it towed,

Then figure out what gauge of wire it is (can't tell by the pic) and get your butt to a hardware store or auto store and BUY MORE of that gauge. Cut and splice it into place as needed. Solder & heat-shrink tubing are your friends

I'm not pulling the dash I'll cut the loom on the big harness and see if I can get more room on the one side, it's easy to say "pull the dash" doing it is another story.

Unscrew any ground points inside the engine compartment to get enough play.

Are you ******* kidding...... There's only about 12" of that harness going through the firewall to the ecu. You don't know this simple stuff yet I see all your posts on other threads like your hondapartshero or grumblemarc.

Haha you're trying to flame me for not knowing dash wiring/harness's on a car ? I Haven't even been around cars for more then a year even my civic and integra are my first cars. yah I don't that's why I asked I hate electronics/wiring on cars so I tend not to venture into them. either way I cut the loom back on the harness side and twisted them together so I can have it running will get it properly connected soon.
