99 civic cracked manifold/converter. what to buy? help!
my 99 civic vp has a big crack in the manifold/converter where the upstream o2 sensor is. it finally threw a CEL. should i just buy the new magnaflow manifold/cat assembly and put new o2 sensors in it and be done with it? or should i put a civic EX Header on with a magnaflow direct fit cat after the header and the move the downstream o2 sensor to the back of the new cat? i already have the magnaflow cat back exhaust system i bought a few years back and i think the EX method should bolt right up to it after i take out the 16" pipe extension that came with the exhaust kit. just looking for some insight from people who did this already. i dont want a CEL to come on 6 months later. thanks

Re: 99 civic cracked manifold/converter. what to buy? help!
iam not planing any mods, car is all stock except magnaflow catback. the manifold/cat is cracked and worn out (230,000 miles). i live in MA. and i need the car to pass inspection, CEL needs to be out. just wondering which setup works the best from people that did it. i just saw that magnaflow lists the same year 99 EX cat as #22630 which has the o2 sensor in the middle of the cat verses what i was told to use #22628 which has the o2 sensor after the cat and only lists years up to 97, my car is a 99. do you guys know which cat will work with my year 99 civic vp?. thanks again
