Hmm, check the distributor plug. Maybe unplug it and plug it back in a few times. It's the blue wire off the distributor, maybe it's pinched or something? Not sure

well there ya go... they don't work together... or so I'm told...
I'm no expert by any stretch but as I was trying to answer your question I checked around a bit and I do believe there is a conflict with the obd2 vss and the obd1 ecu...
Again not postive though. try swaping in your old vss (out of the original motor) that may do it right there.

To answer your question (im going by to your first post), You dont have the "Blue" Wire which is the Tachometer Wire from Distributor to Passenger Side Connectors, 00 USDM ITR Wires dont have them unlike the 97-98 one's.
Everything should work after that. hope that helps.

if he is using the obd 2 harness he has to tap the blue wire to the single one on the driver side... if he is using obd 1 harness it should work

the harness i am using is obd2, and i think it is from the year 2000 itr. so what exactly do i need to splice?
and i do have the 94ex motor, it is in west hartford ct right now, complete swap minus ecu for 350$ if you pick it up, there are 140k miles. it has a new distributor and i will include a brand new valve cover gasket b/c the existing one leaks oil a bit. it needs a new clutch. lmk
EDIT: i dont think it has anything to do with the speed sensor b/c the spedo is accurate. we will see what happens when i install the hondata this weekend.
