please help with tach
its a long story but ill try to keep it short... i recently put back in an f23 motor into my CL2.3 (previously was h22) the only prob now is that because i converted the the harness to obd1 to accomadate the 95 h22 i had to use the f22 ecu from a 95 accord...well now that i have the car running with the f23 motor and f22 ecu the only thing that is not working is the DAMN tach...where or what can i get a signal from to have my tach read the rpms of the motor
hope my question is clear..
your help is greatly appreciated

Incompatible wiring? Can you get your hands on a wiring drawing for both car & donor?
In my '98 Accord, the tachometer signal comes from the ECU, not from the ignitor. Earlier years I think that signal came from the ignitor. So your car's wiring wants to get the tachometer signal from the ECU so it doesn't even have the blue wire from the distributor??

because i have an obd2 motor there is no blue wire from the distributor to read the rpm (on obd2 engines the rpms is read from the ecu) and with the obd1 ecu that i have there is no blue wire to read the tach (because on obd1 cars the tach got its signal from the distributor)...is this correct?
so basically i am screwed?
but what about the cars that are obd2 but have converted to obd1 (ie. 98 gsr that has converted to obd1 using the ecu from a 95 gsr)...how do they fix that problem?

His OBD-1 ECU doesn't know how to provide a tach signal to that wire.
With an OBD-1 ECU, don't you need an OBD-1 distributor to run? What did you do about the CYP, CKP, & TDC sensors?
