94 civic cooling problems
i have a 94 civic hb (cx) just swapped a d16y7 into it had it all running fine and a couple days ago motor started heating up to the point of overheating... changed thermostat/fan switch and radiator cap then flushed out the system... now my problem now is i drive the car and it gets up to temp... 1/4 on the temp gauge... drives fine dosent go past it now but my overflow tank was full to the point of leaking out... could i have added too much coolant? any ideas? im hopeing its not the water pump but it should be working fine.. anyway to check if the water pump is working? thanks for any of your help and suggestions..

Re: 94 civic cooling problems (sin city eg6)
you should be fine if it's not overheating. If your water pump is broken your car should overheat. You might have just put too much coolant in your car. If you wanna see if your water pump is working or not, which I think it works, just take off your radiator cap and run your car. If you see coolant flow, then your water pump is good.
