Ok i currently have a 93 civic sedan and it has a stock d15 in it and its slow as ****. im debating on whether to boost it or throw a b16 in it. also i plan on doing one or the other next year when i get financial stable in the Army. im new to the honda scene so any help????

Re: Boost Or Swap
Swap. In order to get decent results from boosting that d15, you'd have to dump a lot of money into that d15 and it's not worth it. At all. Do the swap, build that b16 and eventually boost that.

Too broad of a question. Everybody is going to have an opinion and tell you a bunch of crap to do. Choose what you really would like to do based on your goals and then research it. There's lots of info around here.

Would you rather be turbo or all motor?
Everyone is going to have something different to say. This thread will 30 pages with people saying no boost or no all motor.
If you go all motor, I reccomend looking a gsr/ls.vtec or even a type r swap.

It's all about what comes around and when it comes around.
You may have a certain budget...and think that a swap is too far out of the question for money...and then you might find a full b-swap on craigslist for 800 with decent miles out of nowhere and some people will only charge 100-200 to do the swap when they sell it to you if you don't think you could do it yourself. Just save up...and then once you have a good bit of money...and some research under your belt...go from there.
I was dead set on a b20z swap because I found a good deal on one...the deal fell through...now I'm almost certain I'm going to put a turbo on my y8. I'll probably change my mind in a month.

not another one of these threads we need a sticky that covers it..
op, you need to figure out whats more important to you. reliability, speed, saving/spending money.. what is your hp goal? how long do you want the car to last? does it matter? etc etc..
everyone on here will give you a different opinion because they're talking about what THEY what, what matters is, what YOU want.. so instead of asking others what they would do, do some research on your motor, see what you can get out of it (hp wise) and for what price.. then do some research on the b16 swap, what you can do to THAT, and it's price.. then decide from there what seems more appealing..
thats just my opinion tho :]

IMO, B16's are way over rated.. if your going to B, choose a better platform.. Also the D15 is a fun car when boosted.. i wouldnt go over 200whp on a stock block. but good luck
