92 EG with B18c swap driving issues
Got a problem with a buddys car. Its a 92 EG with a swaped B18c and B18c trans, wire tuck, P30 chipped ECU with launch control. The problem is when hot and hard accelerating the car runs rough (like misfiring condition and or fuel cut/ sputters and then gets up and goes). Also I noticed that when the conditions happen the MPH goes to 0 and the RPMS bounce We already swapped ECU's with a chipped P28 still the same. Tested and removed the speedo gear sensor (ok). Swapped the dizzy (OBD1) and still the same. Tested the MAP sensor and its good. Tested the TPS and kinda wierd, throttle body closed its about .587v when it starts going to WOT the volts increace normal to about 4.012v the the volt meter goes into an open condition like almost at WOT. We have yet to swapped the throttle body with the sensors Im not shure what the TPS range is supposed to be. That is about it. Please help or point in the right direction cuz Im about lost right now and getting brain fried.

Its and old swap about 8 months, no codes due to the intermittent conditions. Tune up was about a month ago with honda part. Like I said cold its good but when car gets to operating temps thats when the problem happens. I've had the problem on my CRX and a few days after the car would not start traced it to the dizzy being an open internally. Like I said we replaced it on the EG and its still happening.

I was thinking of the fuel pump next. Running fuel pressure testing and seeing when the conditions happen what happens to fuel pressure.

Buddy just texted me and said he noticed that the radio and headlights shut on and off while is bucking during the conditions.

CEL codes?
1) Unplug the O2 sensor to see if the problem goes away.
2) Have the alternator tested.

Your the man RonJ thankx its the O2 sensor. Swapped it and it works cherry tested it over 6 times now and no problems. Thankx again.
