No I havent tried yet but they only give you 2 chances before you get charged more money so I was just trying to hit the nail on the head. I will be replacing the cat but I want to make sure I pass on the second time.

get the guaranteed to pass stuff ina bottle at ur local auto store, also id try retarding timing, not sur e about this but how can nox go away with a new cat, nox form from excessive combustion chamber temperature, like i think its 2500+ degrees for nox to form

From what I have read tonite NOx is formed from basically bad fuel or from running too rich. High temp can also cause this problem. It is the main factor that the state of TX checks for when running a emissions test. The cat catches and filters out bad things such as nox before it leaves the exaust. Anyway I think I will be trying the guaranteed to pass stuff like you said as well as retarding the timing and I will also be replacing the cat tomorrow. Im going to go ahead and replace the O2 sensor just to be safe and hope like hell this works. I think all of this should fix the problem.

Went back for inspection today after changing cat and putting "Berrymans " Guaranteed to Pass Emissions stuff in the tank. The car passed with flying colors. In fact the guy said it didnt even almost fail this time. NOx gas went down from 1542 points to 142 points.
