random technology CAT?
has anyone use a random technology CAT because pre-smog my car and i use random technology and i pass, but i was wondering if I can pass REF with aftermarket CAT...???

no. you can replace the cat IF "your original one didn't perform to specification"... i did my bar with an aftermarket cat. i smog my cars with aftermarket cats. when they do the visual, as long as they don't see a shinny resonator looking thing, they don't bother to pull it out and check. besides, your readings will tell the story. when the NOx , CO and HC levels are higher than normal...its obvious, either no cat, bad cat, not stock insides or tune, or something is out of tune.
