30amp headlight fuse (30A) to 40amp? and dome light help
i was driving and my headlights and gauge lights went off. went to autozone. they replaced the 30amp fuse with a 40amp one. do you guys think this is too much?
i have an HID kit and one of the bulbs seemed to be taking too much power. currently using the regular bulb. (running on 8k and one stock haha) so maybe a 40amp fuse would be good? along with replacing the #21 and #22 (i think) fuses and seeing if the fuses don't blow like they were before.
now the problem is, what i've read, is that too much and you can start to fry wires and what not. so tell me what you guys think. perhaps go to a 35amp headlight fuse?
a motor swap was recently done. put a newer/nicer y8 in my 1996 ex coupe. maybe grounds could use a replacing?
another question. my dome light only works on the "off" and "completely on" switch position. the middle position doesn't work. the one where when they doors are open it turns on. ideas?
thanks in advance.

They're dumbasses for putting that one in there. Now the wire is weaker than the fuse, and the wire will catch on fire before the fuse blows. Stay with factory

if you have an aftermarket stereo system that might be your dome light problem.
here's a link on how to fix it.
