Default Only one headlight working?

As the titles say only 1 headlight work when I turn on my lights.
Then if u turn on the brights both headlight light up.
Could it be a short in the wires/relay/fuse? O I am at work so have got the meter out was just looking for ideas.

your hi and low beams are two separate bulbs. Check your fuse then check your bulb. Wiring is the last resort.

probably a fuse. check fuses first. if it were a relay i believe both your headlights are your gauge lights turn off.

Had the same problem but I had a HID kit installed. On brights it would show both then went to normal, both light would shut off due to the relay being connected to one headlight plug.

Found out that I was missing a fuse. Installed one and headlights worked perfectly

the high beam in the bulb is blown. replace the bulb. 96-00 civic have one bulb with low and high beams ... it should be a 9004 bulb
