1.6 EL tie rod ends
I need to replace my inner and outer tie rod ends on my 1997 1.6 EL.
I found something on this forum about replacing the rod ends on a 00 ITR.
Will the procedure be more or less the exact same on both of these cars or is there a major difference for an EL.
Also is it acceptable to use the same generation Civic rod ends or is the acura steering somehow different?
thanks a lot!!!

i'm 90% sure the tie rod ends are the same....and integra TRE's and civic TRE's are verry simmilar so it should be the same procedure...GL....bump for CANADA!

Procedure is the same for both cars.
Parts for the 96-00 Civic 4 door should be the same as they are for an Acura EL, but you can always call a Honda and Acura dealership and compare the part numbers from each dealership and then buy them from whomever is cheaper.

was wondering if you knew weather you should swap in tegra tie rod ends to a civic if you are putting tegra brakes/suspension conversion over to the civic?
