Shot of steam...help 2009 Civic
My battery was dead, and I jumped it and it seems fine. However I posted about the same sound a few days ago. As I was running the car to keep the battery charged, a wierd sound like a ssssssssssss, and shot of steam shot out near the front driver side hood. Is it over heating, not sure what to check. Im at 4k miles since my last oil change, maybe I am low on certain fluids, someone told me to get radiator fluid. Any idea why this is happening?

Your ac relay is stuck on, causing your dead battery and your ac system to release the high pressure valve. It's a 6 dollar relay and your going to have to have your ac system topped off with refridgerent

In addition to what 19slocivic97 said, remove the relay and see if the problem goes away. Also, monitor your a/c performance because that would be affected. (Sorry, I'm reaching to get my mandatory 5 first posts in.) There is also a possibility there is an internal problem with the pcm. But, start with the ac relay.
