07' Civic Seems Choppy?
I was just wondering if anyone might know why the 07' Honda Civic seems to be choppy? I just bought it certified pre-owned and have a limited window to make sure all the issues are taken care of. It runs mostly well other than when braking it seems to lurch a little more than I'm accustomed to. I've read elsewhere that this is normal and is the result of oversensitive ABS. Anyone know if this is a design of the car or a mechanical issue? If it is the ABS is that something the dealer can adjust because I love the car other than this pain in the ***. Also seems hesitant when accelerating sometimes.

The anti-lock brakes will kick in if you're braking over a bumpy road, but anything beyond that isn't normal.
As far as hesitation when accelerating goes, it's normal only in 1st (possibly 2nd) gear while the engine is cold.
Take it back IMO
edit: For some reason I thought you were talking about the Si model.. my comment is toward the Si since I have no experience with the other models.

To me it sounds like you are used to a car that needs more foot pressure on the brake to stop or slow down, and you are just pushing on the brake too hard.
When you push harder than needed the ABS is going to react like you have a need for it.
Give it a week or 2 of driving move the seat to get more comfortable like you were driving the car you owned before this on, all cars take a little getting used to.
Going from my pickup to my vette takes a little getting used to at times.
Just my$. 02 on it.
