Function and Form coilover thread
My car has around 128k. I know the upper control arms are a bit shot. I've been meaning to replace them, the thing is they didnt do it before. I'll probably swap the L & R side and see if it's the coilovers or the UCA.
Ill swap them out tomorrow and if it is the Coilovers I'm going to call and see if that falls under warranty.

How can u determine if these are blown? Cuz mines make alot of noise in the bak like a loud clank eversince I raised it but it doesn't look blown at all an I changed my blox LCAs bak to my own ones.. Idk wat to do its driving me crazy!
Could be a number of things. My F/F Type I coil overs made clunking sounds in the rear as well. I think that coilovers naturally make more noise anyway. It could also be your trailing arm bushings being worn out as well. On the Honda service manual for my Integra it says a "knocking sound" from the rear means it's time to replace those bushings.

Alright so I installed them this morning.
I know everyone has been asking how low type 1's go without messing with the preload, and here it is.
Fronts maxed, rears raised about 15 threads because I didn't want reverse rake.

And I was messing around and got it to Tri pod

In general tuner shocks will last about 2-3 years before needing a rebuild. It isnt too far off regular shocks anyways. You should expect about 3 years out of Type 1s IMO. You could use an upgrade by then! Thats also what I expect of mine to last.
Even slammed? And how do FnF shocks differ from say OEM shocks that makes them last longer?
PS: I fcking LOVE my Type 1s! They ride so good even slammed. I was next to an EK hatch today just as low as mine but he was on sleeves and he was bouncin' all over the place hahahaahha.

oh and because FnF are supposed to be adjusted by the mount perch only so no matter if ur slammed or all the way up your ride quality as well as shock travel will remain the same
also that knock in the rear is getting louder on mine. i think its time to ditch the shitty blox LCA and get new OEM ones theyre 60 brand new each.

Do they sell a rebuild kit for these or do you have to send them in to have them fixed?

"Are your shocks re-buildable?
Our current, 3rd generation Type One (white Type One sticker), Type Two (yellow Type Two sticker), and Type Two.5 are all rebuild-able and serviceable. Our rebuilding program for our previous version of our suspension systems are no longer available and have been discontinued. We want to apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, as we know this may be a hindrance to some. We want to give our customers the best satisfaction we can offer, and that meant upgrading our coilovers with better shocks, shock components, and other manufactured pieces that are not compatible with our older systems. With this change, we realized that the rebuilding of our previous systems did not meet our new standards and regulations for our coilover systems now, and thus we have decided to discontinue that program to offer and better serve you! Our goal is to offer the best products followed by the best possible customer service that we can provide. Discontinuing our older products follows in line with us trying to put out better performing, more reliable, and better quality products.
We no longer offer any service on any of our previous generation of coilover systems. We only service our current products. If we do not have the parts available, there would be a slightly longer turnaround time. We do stock most, if not all of our parts all the time, but we do occasionally have times where we run out of inventory on certain items. We do our best to prevent this from happening, and thus we do have most of the parts all the time ready and available.
Rebuilding fees for the current generation coil-over systems start at $75.00. Turnaround time varies depending on how busy we are. Typical turnaround time is approximately 2 business days once we receive the product. We ship via UPS standard ground, unless specified or agreed upon. Extra shipping charges will apply for all shipments shipped with services other than standard ground.
We do offer a Function and Form Loyalty program for those that have bought our products and have supported us and our brand in the past. We are offering very attractive upgrade pricing on the current Type One, Type Two, and Two.5, systems. Please give us a call for a price quote.
