it rode fine, bottomed out on bigger bumps/pot holes ofcourse, thats a given. they didnt blow out and i didnt mess with the preload at all what so ever. i have koni/GC now, (got it with the next car i bought and love em) but i still recommend FF type 1 to anyone looking to get the best bang for their buck, you cant beat it

I have this same problem and was thinkin that maybe over time the spring would settle? cause I kept the preload and lower them all the way down and my fronts measured out about a quarter to a third inch higher then the rear.

How are D2's any better than the Type 2's? They're both "street" and/or "show car" coilovers along with the K Sport brand.

personal preference. id take koni/gc over D2s, but id still take D2s over FF type2, however if someone was on a budget, id recommended FF type1 100%

My understanding is that D2, F2 and K Sport coilovers are all manufactured at the same plant with slightly different specs.

They are all made in tawain but I have yet to see any proof that they are made from the same manufacturer. I know BC aka Bor Chuan makes coilovers for others companies such as Megan Racing, but I havent seen anything linking D2, F2 and Ksport. Ksport is really trying to improve their product more than anyother of these cheaper ebay coilovers. I would actually buy a set because the new generation ones are supposed to be really nice.

Finally got them on and setup... F&F type 1's. The ride and handling is quality. Way better than what I expected! Still have a lot of cleaning and painting to do...

How do you have them set? Looks like you are right above the tire with tons of threads on the rear... How many threads would you have left to raise? Im just asking because I would have to raise them up in the winter.

There is still a lot of room for height adjustment. And I didn't mess with the pre-loads. The lower perches are snug against the springs.

Here are some facts about them to clear up any confusion for someone who is doing their homework on these.

-Type 1s and 2s go equally as low.
-For EGs spring rates are 10k/6k for the Type 1s and 12k/8k for Type 2s.
-They go pretty low and tuck tire and even lower if you mess with the preload however that causes ride quality to worsen and should not be messed with.
-Build quality is the SAME for Type1 compared to the Type 2.
-These are made for daily driving with the occasional track day and so they handle great and feel awesome.

For me I was looking for a few things:

-Full coilover setup. No coilover sleeves, or spring/shock combo.
-Not $1,000, around $600 was my budget.
-Height adjustable.
-Good ride for the street, something stiffer than stock but not too hard.

I haven't gotten them but when I get my car back from paint I should get these in just in time. They seem to be perfectly what I'm looking for.
great post, exactly what i've been looking for. Thanks

usually i would probably wait for the extra 300 to go with gc/koni, but from what i've read i really wouldn't mind trying these for a while.

I think weksos is selling them for $630, is there anyone that's lower than that?

Hell yeah bro, Im excited as ****, Im picking up my car Saturday morning fresh paint and then on Sunday we gon be 2 broke bitches with suspension and all hehe.

Wek'sos has great customer service. I had to use my friends card to pay for it because my card had a $500 limit and I told him to call them and give the info and when he did they asked if it was him by name and he was surprised that they knew who he was even though he just said hi ahha!

ha that's great. Speaking of that $500 limit, i need to start building credit asap. But in any case, i'll most likely be ordering them in the next week or 2. Keep us updated! Two more days until you'll have your car!
