Default Two Issues With My 2011 Crosstour

I have two issues that I need advice about. They're really stressing me out.

1. My car has a really bad odor that seems to be coming from the a/c system. I've cleaned the car and done an ozone treatment. The service department changed the cabin air filter and the engine filter, but the smell is still there. Any advice? It smells awful. Acrid, like a garbage dump or like something died in there, but I can't find the source. Help!

2. I know that the engine speed is designed to slow down at certain RPMs for fuel economy, but occasionally, the car seems to drag or almost cut out sometimes when I'm cornering or accelerating afterward. This frightens me. The techs didn't pick up anything on my multipoint inspection last week. Did they miss something important?

Thanks in advance!

1) There may be a mouse or something that may have made a home in your blower motor. Not a guarentee, but this happens.

2) Is this your first drive-by-wire car? Not to say there's not neccessarily an issue, but the drive by wire experience is a bit different from a normal cable operated throttle body.

Thanks for replying. Yeah I'm wondering if I ran over something creepy or if something was living in there and then died. EW.

And yes, this is my first drive by wire. It's taking some getting used to.

Unfortunately, rats (and other vermin) love the wiring under the hood of Hondas (probably other makes too..but this is H-T). We replace the lead wire to the knock sensor so much that we carry a couple in stock at all times (and they are coated with rat poison now). Best look under the hood to find the beady eyed culprit. Good luck

Steve you talking about the Gray tape we wrap wires with now? One of the techs at my job was doing a rodent repair on the injector wiring on a 12 CRV and while holding wiring with one hand at taping he couldn't break the tape so decided to use his mouth...LoL...bad move !
