Timing Belt Question
A few weeks ago I changed the timing belt on our 2003 Accord V6, had some issues (https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-crosstour-2003-2012-118/mileage-after-timing-belt-change-2611438/), but everything seems to be ok now. The gas mileage is still a little lower than what I would expect, and I "think" I hear a faint knock when the engine is running. I'm trying to determine if the timing is set correctly or not. That is... If I was off by 1-2 teeth on either or both cams, would it be pretty noticeable, or would it just create a faint knock? Honestly... I almost can't call the noise I'm hearing a knock. It just seems to be slightly louder than I remember it before the work. Thoughts?

Re: Timing Belt Question
It's all in your head.
If the cam timing were off one or more teeth, it would be running noticeably poor and turning the Check Engine light on with misfire codes.

Re: Timing Belt Question
There are rubber plugs in the upper covers. You can check with a small mirror and flashlight. The cam alignment marks are on the upper cover and the cam. Youll see.
