Coupe seats
Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you know the exact dimensions of a 2010 or 2011 Accord Coupe drivers seat? Are they the same as the sedan? I'm 6'2" and have a broad build and wondered about the width of the seat.
I took a test drive a few months ago, but 10 minutes in a new car just doesn't do it. In 2004 I bought an Accord coupe and actually had to return it because the seat was killing my back as it was too narrow. Cost me a bundle..
I would love to rent a 2010 or 2011 Accord coupe for a few days and find out for sure, but I cannot find any rental car companies that rent them in the Chicagoland area.
Thoughts?
Thanks..

Re: Coupe seats
Check out this page for the factory dimensions on the 2011 Accord Coupe:

I'm not sure about the exact width of the seat itself, though.

Re: Coupe seats
the 8th gen seats are fairly flat and unsupportive imho... but they get the job done. My butt hurts after like 2 hours of continuous driving, but I still wouldn't trade me car for that single issue. the 8th gen does have a myriad of adjustments, but for me... the seats just do not cradle you like others I have owned.

I agree, seats in my 8th gen are a little unsupportive on longer rides. I've even considered replacing them with aftermarket seats but haven't ventured down that road yet

Re: Coupe seats
I had an '04, now own a '10 and I think the seats are overall pretty comfortable. My brother is 6'3" and after adjusting for leg room has been fine with trips without issue. Granted I think there's something to be said about a leather vs upholstery interior... leather doesn't have as much "give" IMO but I do think the seats are slightly wider in the newer coupes regardless. I don't think the '10s have the same "performance" shape that the '04 model did, so there's less curve to the back and probably will allow for a more forgiving seating position for you. Good luck - 8th gens are a great purchase ^_^
