03 accord 6spd tranny probs...
I get grinding going into 3rd gear at high RPM's. People from my car club believe its the 3-4 syncro causing and that I should try a 2:1 ratio of GM Syncromesh to Friction Modifier to equal the total amount of fluid needed after draining the old fluid.
Any suggestions besides what I've already been told? Just looking for other viewpoints here.
Thanks!

i had the same problem, but i bought the car used so it came from the previous owner, dat bastard, 3rd gear was like the only gear that would grind i was so frustrated and one or two times i heard a huge pop sound when i went from 1st to 2nd, it sounded bad and i had no clue what it was
then one night i exploded my clutch and overrevved engine (bent valves) and tranny 1st gear was busted, so i got a used oem tranny+oem clutch+fixed valves and it was soooo much better, no more grindage!! smooth and different feel

H-T Order of Merit
Third gear can be a bit of an issue with some 6-6 G7 cars.
Sometimes it's something as basic as the cable being slightly misaligned as the miles add up.
The first thing I would do is switch to the newest Honda MTF formulation, which contains additives to help with this issue.
