Acoord Instrument Cluster problem
Hi, I have a '01 Accord EX, V6 2DR. The instrument cluster works intermitently. In the morning none of the instruments will work. After I turn the lights on to illuminate the instruments, it will begin to work after 15-20 minutes.
I've checked all grounds, all power wiring and looked for a loose connection in the wiring harness. To no avail did I find the problem. I also examined the back of the cluster for a broken solder joint or burned out component....again, nothing found.
I think there is a bad chip set since the speedo will turn clockwise at a high rate of speed then turn counter clockwise at a high rate of speed. If it were a loose ground or power connection, I would not expect the gauges to reverse direction.
If I replace the instrument cluster, does anyone have the pin out for the odometer so that I can reset the mileage to match my current milage?
Sorry for being so long winded.
Thanks,
Dave
