Finally got down to finishing off my TSX Retrofit. Thought I'd share some photos with the teal mob first. Still waiting on my bulbs for installation.

TSX projectors

Fitted

Finished product - as usual the second time around is always easier. I had to redo my first housing twice.

I can now do this in my sleep if I wanted to lol.

Thanks homey. haha I'm down. If you're local, I'll only charge a flat rate . If not, you'll pay for shipping. As long as you supply the projectors and the OEM headlights, it should take me less than 3 hrs to finish both lights.

Are those hid? I really like em, but Im not a fan of hid.

So I got my old manager to help me out with my car. We found A LOT more going on then expected. My power steering is leaking like crazy. Strange I never heard the same sounds I got from my Nissan when that happened. Anyways, you can see where its leaking all over the belts so were replacing almost all of them. The power steering fluid. The axel boots (thats what my manager called them) are tearing themselves apart. Most of the hoses need to be replaced along with the valve adjustment I already knew about. We're getting parts today and tomorrow and it should be good by then. Ugh, dumb cars.

HID PnP kits are pretty much garbage. HID retrofit... who doesn't like em? Have you ridden in an Acura TSX or S2000 (w OEM HIDs) before?

Here are a few I found on Ebay (where I got my projectors )

As for the bulbs, ballasts, and harness: You can get OEM D2S kits or any 35W HID kit, as long as you get D2S bulbs (preferably 4300K Phillips), you'll be fine.

On my car Id love them. But on a random car driving behind me blinding me cause they dont have them at the right angel. Or someone on the opposite side of the road owning me with an HID kid they didnt adjust right left headlights and now Im being blinded by oncoming cars. I guess I dont hate HID. I hate when people dont install them right.

And did all the shopping today. I was really glad to have my old manager there cause I didnt know **** when it came to things like the axel boot and the valve adjustment. Got everything DOOOOOONE sept replacing the hoses. Feels so nice not having the torque jump when accelerating out of turns.

^the cars I see on the road where I live are mainly only cars that come factory with HIDs installed. so, I see their bright *** lights from a far and as they get closer I can se it's a TSX, Lexus, or VW with their OEM HIDs. You west coasters need to learn to aim them correctly.

Actually, I love HIDs, and dislike halogens. I have one of those PnP kits.. there cheap, doesnt have the same output as a true HID, and are not the best quality, but they work. I'd love to do a retro-fit sometime. (btw, did I ever mention that one of my PnP HID ballasts blew on me over the summer.. so I'm using stock halogen bulbs ).

non-modded silverstars in the 98+ headlights are very nearly as much output as mot factory HIDs in a similar height car. Our projectors are already very very good. The pnp hid kits I've seen put in them though is really scattered output. I'd love some s2k/tsx projectors/hids though.

You're only a "stupid" halfbreed (wherever you're from) if you think PnP HID kits are the shiZZlnitz. Like Erik said, the OEM halogen projector on DC's are nominal for PnP kits. However, since they were not designed to house the output from a HID bulb, you get hot spots, scattered lighting, and a narrow focal point (just to name a few).

that's why i'd buy tsx projectors. i'd rather do it "right" if i did it at all. i'll prolly shoot ya some questions if i ever do it.

for those of us who park outside, do any of you use car covers? i'm thinking of spending some of my rust fund on a car cover. although a fitted CoverCraft WeatherShield HP cover is $345. you guys think it's worth it? are there any other car covers out there besides CoverCraft?

I just got the PnP for fun. I just think they're pretty cool, but believe me, I know PnP kits are not nearly as good as real HID retro-fits. Like I said, I want to do a retro-fit of a TSX or S2K sometime.

Also, yeah I've been looking at car covers for a while and decided that the next gsr I get, I'm going to purchase one. I was just going to get the one make by Acura.. or do you think tthat CoverCraft one is better? Suggestions?

$345 for a damn car cover? Def not worth it. When I had my DB8, which I babied the hell out of, it was parked outside the 3 years I had it. I had the water proof Covercraft MultiBond cover from Pep Boys (got it for $80). It didn't fit like a glove like an ACURA cover would, but it def did its job and kept my ride clean.

I've been really thinking about just selling her as is...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ahwagner_phography_and__designs/2866148339/
But, don't worry, I'd never sell her as is. I'd take off a bunch of parts and then sell her.
