lol You haven't heard bro........... it's the latest craze mang!
Supposedly using PB on your faded CF will bring back the shine. Personally, I have yet to try it myself. My hood is hella faded too but I'm temporarily using "Black Magic" used for tires
. It stays bling for about a week then goes back to sh*t. I really need to either get it painted BG-33P or reclear the b*tch. </TD></TR></TABLE>
hahaha well coming from a guy that works with cars and paint everyday i dont know how the PB could bring back the shine
... only thing i think it can do is put a coat of greese over it
that makes it look shinny for a while... but idk it might work... it doesnt take much to bring back the shine of a faded CF hood... ill let you guys in on a little secret, the best Scratch remover i have ever used (by hand) is Mothers Billet metal polish... we use that on all our show cars for fast small detail scratches... its works on pretty much everything!! even if you have single stage paint... and works great on metal too...
Hey anyone if you want a TEAL hood i has one

drove mine today for the first time in quite some time. Had to replace my distributor and it just came in today. Just drove it a bit to make sure the engine and brakes were functioning properly. If you ever decide to drive your car with the sunroof totally out......it's weird. wind buffers like crazy above 20mph and it makes the room above your head seem HUGE!
good to drive it again though.

going to have to upgrade to big brakes......got my eye on some willwoods......it's hard to stop with 15lbs of boost!!!
any suggestions on some new wheels? going to have to move up to 17"s
current wheels are 15"s

I love it man. I've had my koni/GC's on for about 3 months now but, the 23mm j@YD33m ITR sway bar feels really firm around the corners. The rear feels so much more solid now as well since the flimsy LS bar is in the trash now.
I've got some OEM end links FS if anyone is interested.

Hey alpha R-Crew is in the bay area and my friend runs their Subframe Brace on his racecar, works great... might want to hit them up
Some videos from friday night....
We upped the boost from 11.5psi to 13.5psi.. Still Stock motor
Frist pass was a Street tire pass to make sure all was well.. Mind you i shifted into 5th hence the low trap speed....

My first pass on slicks that night...I missed 3rd
still beat the other guy, Stock LS 14psi E85 car must weigh like 2200lbs... He redlit pretty good

Last pass that night, I was on a good pass!! it was goign to be a 11.7 for sure... but my sorry *** missed 4th, Maybe my 164k mile transmission is in need for a rebuild, or maybe its the 500+ passes down the 1/4 mile i have
1/8 mile this pass was 7.625@95.56 and on the 11.85 pass my 1/8th mile was 7.14@94.71 im dead positive it would have been a 11.7..
sigh...

Guys... haha I'm not that stupid. I'm frugal you see. I am running the BSQ kit. That's what I ran on my DB8 when I had it and everything was gravy running my ride hard for 2 years, no tear out. Although a nice looking brace would be nice, I opted not to since the BSQ kit serves the same purpose. Did I mention it only cost 24 bucks?
Here's the link to BSQ's site for those who didn't know:

I had the BSQ kit on my car for about 7 years (met him when he first came up with the idea), but all with high spring rates and never had any tear out. If your suspension is stiff enough, then you probably won't have any problems, but if not, you'll likely mess up the subframe. I've seen a number of them bend and tear out. The DB subframe is a bit beefier than the DC's so it's much less of an issue on them. It's worth the extra money for something stronger.
I now have an ASR brace on mine even though my susp has gotten much stiffer. Just feel better about it, given the cars age.

Not that I'm doubting you, but where did you get that the DB subframe is beefier than DC's? When I was under there, it looked identical to me. In fact my DB didn't even have as good of a setup as my DC. It had OTS Civic GC's with Illuminas, and they were not stiff at all. Like I said before, I rode fine for 2 yrs, no tear out. Stronger is always better, no doubt about it. Why disregard the BSQ kit when it's tried and proven (from personal experience)?
Now if my car was a track *****, I'd definitely get the extra reassurance of a beefy subframe brace.

A number of people I've talked to who race DBs competitively have told me they were beefier. Don't actually know myself other than that.
I'm definitely not disregarding it. Like I said, I used it for about 7 years with no issues whatsoever and couldn't have been happier with it. But this is a part of the car that is very prone to metal fatigue with age and a number of my friends have had theirs tear out, crack, or bend (especially recently and both street and track driven) with the BSQ and other kits. Given the age of the car, its only a matter of time. I'm not saying you should get rid of the BSQ for an ASR/Comptech or anything, but you may want to seriously consider it again. $160 is a lot better than the $400+ it'll cost to replace the subframe.

Thanks for lookin out Erik.
I'm cool though. I'll just keep an eye out for any noticeable signs of stress on the subframe from time to time.
**EDIT**
I forgot to ask you... what type of cars were your friends driving, who had the ripped out subframes from using the BSQ kits?
