oh yeah, my revelation. i'm not buying any go-fast parts for my car. no more suspension mods, maybe though because my car rides too damn low. it gets annoying after a while. i think my goal is to make my car look decent and get good gas mileage. thats it. it's not worth the money. i just want to fix the rust...</TD></TR></TABLE>
Seems like you've been pretty unhappy with your ride, and you've been a member since 03? Judging from what your saying, you havent even gone forced induction yet... correct me if I'm wrong. Stop wasting your time around here bro... "All show, no go"?!?!... even back in 95 that was lame. IMO, you're in the wrong forum, cause it's suppose to be "Tech" driven. Thats a big step, I cant wait to see it be taken. You should make a goal. Like to get it taken care of before I do my swap cause Im the king of putting things off, so if i finish first, thats how you know your taking too long haha.

for one, it depends on what you want to do with the car. An integra or civic has a lot of advantages over many rwd cars in a lot of certain areas. fwd in an ideal world (absolute grip/control being key focus) is indeed inferior to rwd. That's not to say it isn't still a very good, usable platform however, but we are talking ideals at the moment. Last I checked....we don't exist in a world of ideals. fwd and particularly the integra/eg chassis is pretty damn hard to beat as fwd goes.......even compared to more recent cars.
What is your definition of "fast?" I know a stock ITR can keep up with an easily better an E36 M3 on a track with similarly skilled drivers. Drag racing.....yeah, fwd sucks, but so does drag racing (had to
). Autocross, you will not find a better chassis for whatever class you'd be running in except maybe a miata (which is a very similar case to hondas), but I'm not sure they ever coexist class wise with an integra; I can't recall.
I know a guy with an EG that can annihilate GT3s and Zo6s in all drag racing and has spent less than half the cost of a corvette on the car in total. Again, it all just depends on what you want to do. Don't give up on the car just yet. If you really love it and want to do something with it, you can and it's still (in most cases) a bargain.
Erik, who greatly prefers rwd, but couldn't be happier with his Integra. There is NO car I could get that would compare to mine (for the things I value most in a car) for the kind of money I've spent.

i couldnt agree more. i been through alot of cars. and after a few track days i found that a stock integra could teach you so much on the tracks. cheap to keep running/parts. decent power.

and you can make plenty of power to keep up with nearly anything (within reason) without even turbocharging the car. The only real limiting factor is the driver.
