Made a couple minor improvements, color matched the jdm bumper fillers and painted the bumpers in fresh trim black. Also threw on some brand new RE71s in preparation for ITR EXPO 15! It looks good, but what made you choose to got trim black on the bumpers, I've been thinking about the same myself.

Lol, you guys have all had pretty good progress. I've gotten a bunch done, but I had to use my mechanic to help get some stuff done, and since I've got it back, I'm still waiting to really drive it.

Front end has massive toe out after doing the ball joints and inner/outer tie rods, so I have to get it aligned. AND still dealing with a smog issue.

I passed everything except NO at 15mph. I'm going to swap the O2 sensor since I haven't changed it since I replaced the melted cat, and the replacement was only $20, lol, so might as well.

 

Thanks buddy! I sold the Vision mirrors a while back and bought a 4pt roll bar, seat and seat mount and a couple other things. Ill be putting APR GT mirrors on it soon before heading up to ITR EXPO.

I originally wanted to go with paint matched bumpers, but Ive always kinda liked how my car in particular looked with the black bumpers. They were just raw oem plastic before with some scuffs, chips, etc. So I decided to keep them black, just smoothed them out and painted them to one color.

Its also nice to be able to just take a spray can to them whenever I hit some cones or get rock chips from the track.

Must be the extreme heat, ethanol fuel and 300,000 km that did it ! :smirk:

Got my car back
This issue was the black wire on the coil pack was broken which caused the engine to die.
It was arcing for a while since I did feel hesitations sometimes for around 1 year.
Seems as though the vibrations from the above spark plug wires hitting it caused the wire to break. I now have the plug wires sitting higher.

That sucks. I remember when the clutch switch on my 4dr crumbled and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start until after I got it towed home.
