yeah that would be cool. even finding the 88-89 lip is hard. i dont know if other ones get close enough. Ill get some pics of my crx once the paint gets finished.

 

Was anybody else kinda let down at some of the cars at IA? Some of the cars I couldnt wait to see, were not that nice...

 

I havent been following ANY builds lately so I had no idea what to expect. I was very pleased with the amount of nice cars there. I really wish I could have found the time to wash my car before I got there, but oh well.

 

Well its more like paint work, and nice cars with drum brakes still... Just something I picked up.

Nothing is wrong with them. It's just I would expect to see them on a car in Mag alley.

 

oh yea. I was dissapointed in the white Mugened out Del Sol. He didnt even remove certain panels to be painted so gaskets wouldnt get paint on them...

 

Yeah there is a few cars that I was disappointed about. A lot of cars had real bad fish eyes in the paint.

pulling the y8 out of my brother in laws first gen crx...swapped it trackside, saturday night, ROCKED it and drove it home sunday. y8s kill bearings for no reason. they suck



my rig.. saw a copy of it in super street (feature just came out) for the first time at the event. really exciting

 

It's because y8's bearing journals aren't chamfered and their oil pumps suck also.

 

Thanks man, Just happy I was in a truck and not a my little EF. i woulda been F'd! 0% my fault so hopefully everything is taken care of from his insurance company.. maybe even a couple extra bux for some crx parts!

They gave me a Pontiac G6 as a rental! anyone remember that honda-tuning or super street where they hooked up nitrous to the rental accord for the weekend?!?!

Panda- looks like the lip is made of just an OEM lip with a aluminum piece riveted to it with some brackets to hold on the splitter.. im sure you can make a splitter out of anything. give me a day or two to pull it out of storage and take some close up pics and measurements.
disclaimer!---- I would not do this if the company was still operating, I belive in supporting the companys that keep our community alive, i dont belive in making knock-off/one-off parts, but I dont feel this is stepping on the company's toes. anyone attest to this please let me know.

NOTE TO ANYONE- PROJECTcar's new issue is mainly dedicated to EF's this month, I highly suggest grabbing yourself a copy! (only reason i left the house that day to get to barnes and noble to grab the mag, next thing you know im in a head on collision, you better belive i was strapped to the stretcher with the mag strapped down with me and bugged on the guys for trying to make me leave it in my wrecked car!)

was wondering the same as B16CRXT... I know you had to do some bay mod's to get the motor to fit in right.

 

mine has some orange peel. i couldnt get anyone to wetsand and buff my car before the show becasue everyone was working on their own stuff, but it doesnt look too bad jus not to my standard
