Crap. More choices than I thought. I looked on the thread with all the colors and I'm certain not all are shown. I just wondered if there was something close to rio. I was thinking of Milano, but then I would have to do the jambs.

The battery in the cardboard box is awesome</TD></TR></TABLE>

Milano is a 3 stage job, if done properly. I'd look into New Formula Red from the S2K.

haha, that's double time man. Right now I'm only at $21.60. By the time I make top rate it will be around $28/hour regular time.

Honestly, its still not enough money for San Diego considering houses go for $500k and the average mortage is $3800+ a month.

dont rush buddy, today is my first weekday off in many many months. I too was super excited to be done with school and get a career job. Trust me it is no box of chocalates. The money is awesome and income is disposable, you can drop money on car stuff easily and without regret. But try and find time to mellow out *hint hint* and spend an afternoon in the driveway just puttering with cars. Forget it, no time. So while you guys are dreamng about a career job, take a deep breath and enjoy the freedom you have. Because there is no going back without a huge paycut.....

hate to be debbie downer but its true

thats why I'm trying to do all my major work now before I go head end again.
I love the free time and under the table pay right now

I probably won't touch my engine again for another year or so after this summer vacation

Right there with you Vega. No Job FTW. I quit I was tired of the BS. Got out. All of my old bosses will hire me, and want me, but I want time off. Just gonna chill, and work on the car for awhile, and fly to Cali for a week.

I assumed it was 2 stage. In fact, I assumed all mass produced cars were. But I really don't know for sure. What is a 3 stage job? I may stick with rio red simply so i don't have to do the jambs. I am going to do the bay though (at least so far)

originally milano red is a tri-coat...depending upon where the car was painted...I was told this when purchasing paint for my milano red DC2. There is a two coat conversion for it...

3 stage is a color coat, a mid coat, and a clear...some factory stuff is single stage . so....

like I said work is work. Bills need to be payed. It doesn't matter where I work. I'm not out here sucking away money from the economy and using other peoples tax dollars to fix my car and support my family.

3 stage aka tri-coat...

The midcoat is tinted.

A good description here:

http://www.paintscratch.com/tricoat.htm

Tri-coats
Any color that has the word "Tri-coat" in the paint name listed on our site has three different coats of paint applied at the factory. The first is a basecoat of color. Next a second coat of transparent color, called the midcoat is applied and finally, a coat of clearcoat. The midcoat color is applied very thin and adds additional depth to the paint. In order to successfully match a tri-coat, you should practice on a scrap piece of metal or plastic.

You guys are lucky with these career jobs. I get all these calls from places like exxon-mobile to work with them after they review my resume. But later informed that I cannot work with them due to my past criminal record. Being stupid young screws you up in the long run. Instead of getting payed $26 starting I have to settle for $14 working as a technician for nissan.

Just stay there long enough to get a good report and some references. Most high paying companies like to see consistency in a job, good reviews. As long as you are honest with the company during the interview and application process and let them know of your past they will most likely take your honesty into consideration. Let them know its your past and not to focus on that but you are trying to step towards to future and make a better person of yourself and tell them what you plan on bringing to the company.
Corporate people love that kinda ****

This is true, but it doesn't have the same depth. A friend of mine has a 2 stage re-painted Milano hatch, not as nice as OEM.
