Timing seems to be everything when sourcing a B17. Finding the motor in good shape is the hardest part. Ive had a few pass thru my hands within the last few years. For the trans, just use a b16 one. If u find the motor, i can sell u the P61 ecu as ive got a small stock pile of them.

i found a short block for a G...lol
i think ill stick with the turbo D
or an LS.... Id really like to have one in the future tho.....everyone says "oh just put a 1.7 crank in the b16....but its not like that...I just want a b17

good one joe. only reason im considering the hatch is because im always hauling stuff, seats, tools, parts, people, groceries, furniture, etc. the CRX is cool but i miss having a big hatch. i had a 2002 gti before the CRX

 

I just looked at your build thread. You got one hell of a find with that rex. I like the slips on it best though. Those other wheels look to bubbly. clean *** car.

you must be kidding me, i have carried a kitchen table with 4 chairs in my car, i moved to so cal and back in my car, 5 drawer dresser in hatch, last week, i had a chaise ottoman for my sofa in it. tons of crates of strawberries on cannonball runs to southern california. 3 seats in my car (other then the 2 ones for driver and passenger), passenger seat. and other tons of random stuff. bumper in the hatch, a set of 4 tires. i love hatchback cars. but wondering if the hatch will suit me more. i may have had a christmas tree in my hatch one year, i dont remember. oh yeah, i have also transported tables in my hatch.

 

In the back of mine a couple years ago i had 2 LS blocks and and a box with the internals from them, a b16 head, and a B16 trans.

It was never apart, just 2.5 hours away, i havent seen it since nov last year....

It was nice to take a turn fast and open her up on the thruway.

 

I bought my ticket to Japan today. I really need to find a junkyard over there so I can attempt to make up some of my vacation costs by selling you guys jdm goodies!
