You might want to figure out those screens because a-holes like me who run r*compounds will throw up chunks of rubber at your car. My car is scratched up on the fenders from rubber and Ryan has been hit in the face because he left his visor up. I'd hate for a chunk to fly into the ITB's.

i dont think screens are needed during a drag race. but i'll figure something out.

i might have the hood raised. replicating the siR hump about 2 inches higher.

says the guys who are no good.

now i know why you're selling the DRAG radials.

my car when and if it is done will be a jack of all trades. i will of course take it to the drag strip a few times. and i will try my best at the road courses. my roots are with drag racing, and ive always had the slower cars. my reaction time and 60 fts were always practiced so i could get the jump on my competition. now that i'll have a faster car.... it should be pretty competitive.

I think drag racing is gay, and I cut .00X R/T regularly, and ran a 12.9 on street tires. Jack of all trades is a good approach. Same direction I am going ironically. Drag racing RWD cars is way more fun than FWD. I prefer RR, auto-x, and street racing. Drag racing is just sooooo boring IMHO.

If youre going faster and faster everytime out, its fun. but if you haver a bone stock k20 w/ITB an your not really making more power, then ya its just whatever.

.00x on a pro tree or sportman? thats good **** on street tires, even John Force and other Pro guys dont cut lights like that.

isnt street racing, DRAG racing? i dont know, i didnt grow up in ohio. i grew up in so cal, where the honda tuners/racers originated.

auto-x? ive never had a want or desire to run 1st and 2nd gear around a bunch of cones. that's what a go-kart track is for.

road racing... i'd love to try it, i'll admit though that ive always been scared during hard braking and cornering on the streets. maybe the track will be different.

drag racing.... one of the oldest form of racing, PERIOD. the roman's used to drag race their chariots.

drag racing is in the olympics. it's called sprinting.

I LOVE DRAG RACING!

BTW, i've only raced on a sportsman tree. i can cut .5 and .6 lights until i'm blue in the face.

but at home on the computer.... im actually better on those pro-tree's. .00x more often than not.

i never said drag racing was boring. even in a 15, 14, and 13 second car.

i think my setup should at least qualify for some events though. one of the slower cars in the ALL MOTOR class.... but i'll hope they break or cant launch for ****. you never know.

you;ll qualify in the strett classes. while some of them are in the 11s, half are in the 12s. and most often even the top qualifiers have their bugs they have to deal with and not run their fastest

exactly.... i was talking about it with scotty (bseries) when i was in the pits with him at BOTI.

he was trying to convince me to bring the car out.... i was like, "hell no.... those cars are running mid 11s, im lucky to run mid 12s"

he was like, "you'll at least qualify. look at how many of the faster cars are breaking or not being consistent."

i talked to him about it. he's ran what he wanted to run and won a few races. but he didnt see the point of putting so much money into a car he couldnt drive very often and he couldnt travel around competing in different events.

i think hes building a sandrail or something. he could use that almost every weekend if he wanted to. i dont blame him.

Pro Tree. I cut an .002 in my friend's 03 Cobra last run last year. It is what got me the win against my friend in his other car his 03 TT Porsche. 12.402 to a 12.405. That day was the most fun I ever had at the strip. He trapped 20mph faster, he can't drive, and that was my 3rd pass in his Cobra.

Usually I cut a .008-.020 in my crx. It will be getting slicks, and cams by next season, a thinner headgasket, some portwork, and a new induction system. I should be going faster every run, but it is not my favorite form of racing. 8hrs of sitting around all day, for 2min of racing just usually isn't fun for me. I almost like test, and tune nights better than actual races, cause you get mad runs in, in minimal time.

With a 4.76FD, I hit 3rd regularly. My car is now kinda overkill for auto-x, but I love doing it anyway.
