Did the 88' hatch front bumpers all have the "groove" in the moldings, on the usdm models?

were there any (such as jdm or edm) that did not have the groove? i saw a pic. of one that appeared to not have the groove. maybe he filled it in. I should have been more clear. of course I knew the 88 had it, thats ef 101 yo

Are you talking about the silver hatch with EF9 front? If so, that guy filled in the molding on the front bumper to match the usdm sides.

About 3/4 of the way down the page, there is a red hatch with a body kit and white wheels. There is a pic. of that car parked in a garage next to a red hatch with an 88 front and black hood. It appears the groove is shaved, but looks great, and is tempting me to find an 88 front

hard to tell
it looks more like he tried to paint his mouldings black but then painted the upper part red so it looks like the mouldings are seperate from the bumper.

but i think the black hatch below that picture filled his in

As long as front, sides, and back all match, I'm happy.

Haha, can you pull it off and redo it?

I love when you try to put something on like that and it slips out of your hand and sticks.

No its pretty sticky. I think it looks great though. I'm trying to score some JDM/EF3 corners but noone seems to have them It is me or the foreign ones look kind of smoky(er) then regular clear corners you buy on Ebay?

Gotta get this stuff called Rapid-Tac. You spray it on the windshield, and on the sticky side of the decal, and it allows you to slide it around to position it perfectly. Then, you squeegee the decal on, and it presses out all of the liquid, giving you a perfect application. No bubbles, no crookedness.

might take a hair dryer to it...might be able to peel it back and readjust it a bit.

I have always just used water with a hint of dish soap in it.
