I raced a type-s from a 65mph roll 4 or 5 times in the middle of nowhere in Canada 2 years ago. I beat him from a 6th gear pull the first time. Then I backed off, and started driving normal. I think it inspired confidence cause he came back for more. Each time we raced I downshifted again. Eventually it was an all out romp from 65mph in 3rd. I stretched it to 155mph or so, and kept it there for a few miles. I never saw him again. His headlights disappeared very soon in the last run. It is all about weight reduction. My car weighs 1000lbs less, and a geo is even lighter. I saw a vid of a GSX-R golfcart. That thing was insane. They are around 1200lbs.

I owned an RSX-S for a couple years, during which time I also owned a B16 CRX. The RSX-S was i/h/e, as was the CRX. The CRX was slightly faster, but not by much. A friend of mine had a B16 EG with i/h/e and he raced my RSX-S multiple times and it was literally dead even every time, up to about 120 when the RSX left.

Just so you know changing what someone posted is a big offense on H-T. I got points docked for it. In all seriousness. I think it is obvious I am a weight ****. I only did the glass roof, because my body man told me he wouldn't waste the time putting a HF roof in. He said if he was gonna put in all the work, **** better be glass. The lexan was my idea. It should be on par with a HF roof weight wise. Also I refuse to buy a wheel that weigh more than 9lbs, and I am probably buying seats based on weight not comfort. It is comforting to me, to know I saved weight, so I guess it is kinda for comfort. I'd love to buy a set of Mugen wheels, and probably will just for photo shoots, but Volks own all. Mugen are just too heavy.

So the weight of your car is basically a pseudo-phallic symbol?

so, your a huge weight **** for what reason? with a lexan roof your car wont have any rigidity unless your putting in a cage. than you adding a bunch o' weight.

so i should expect to see this seat in your car(since its function over form)?

just curious why you are so serious about saving weight? what will the car be used for?

o and not all mugen wheels are heavy(at least to the point that you would never be able to tell the difference...that being said i think they are way overpriced for what they are)

What is the weight difference between the lexan roof and the sheet metal roof? I'm assuming the lexan is glued in, and the sheetmetal would have to be re-spot welded? I've seen guys buy expanding body shop foam and fill in all of the "A", "B" and "C" pillars, along with the roof supports for added rigidity, without adding much weight.
