OEM cam gears. I wouldn't want to destroy an engine because of a slipped gear. They don't tyipcally allow you to gain more than a few hp anyway.

I can also say the rsr exhaust and the greddy exhuasts are quiet, even with a test pipe. just stay out of vtec in town.

What application does it take to fit the JDM whale ***** into a B series EF?

I have one that came off my 00 Si and was wondering if it will fit.

my greddy exhaust on my stock motor was pretty loud... no cat all 2.5 piping. the only thing thats gonna be "quiet" is stock.

true, oem cam gears are good, but they don't allow you to degree your cams on a built motor. these aren't for a stock b series, which is why I'm looking for the better brand. Mfactory says theirs are full balanced and the timing marks are more accurate, so I'll probably go with those. Although I dont know **** about the vernier system...

Which is equally funny to me, because I live 20min from Kyle, and for some reason I knew he would step in and I wouldn't have to post about the weather!

It was -7 yesterday morning. Wind chill was -20something. It's times like that it makes me wish my hatch wasn't wasting a garage stall At least I have garage heater too. It was 60 in there last weekend when I was working.

Andy, i figured if it wasnt kyle it would be the likes of you midwest / great lakes area folk calling me out.... hahah

i have no garage, which sucks big time. When i lived with my parents years ago they had a 3 bay/5 car attached heated garage with all the fixins. Now at my current residence i have about an acre of frozen swamp.

Well to put a positve spin on things i have a shed that is damn close to being the size of a single car garage. I just ran power out there yesterday... hopefully the teardown of my VW donor motor will begin soon

Well, there is a guy selling new S2 pro series for $150 shipped and Mfactory are $17X.XX shipped.

Right now I have some 4 bolt no name gears and the timing marks are off, as is the tdc, and one of them is off balance so I need to replace them...They would make great paperweights though!</TD></TR></TABLE>

I've never used the S2 sprockets (I've used some of their other products) Nor have I used the Mfactory... both company seem to produce a solid product and I would say that the other mfactory parts are on par with S2 if not better... I'm willing to bet Mfactory doesn't make their own parts anyway...
all I can say then is buy the cheaper of the two...OR (and this has been an issue lately for just about anything I buy) buy from the most reputable seller.

The vernier system allows you to adjust the cam angle in 0.5 degree increments. If you tried to do this with non-vernier gears (e.g skunk2 etc), you basically have to guess the halfway point between each degree marking

I know people running them on their cars that see alot of track and mountain time and have had no problems.
That and weight is why I went with the Skunk2 pros.

Have you picked pu a DSLR yet James? I finally got a new lens for my D70 and threw out that junk kit lens...it's amazing how much better the pictures are now .

Example (non-Honda):

Haha, it's not the weather. It's taking a break from a bottomless moneysink/heartbreaker/pile of JDM metal and plastic . A lot of people wait it out till winter to start stripping down their cars...my car is stripped down year-round! I find that I can only work on the car if I really really feel like it .

No not yet.
No money for one. I was just going to buy some lenses for my Kodak, a 0.7 wide Angle and a 2.2 Macro lens and some filters and see how pictures come out.
I was asking around to see if anyone knew of a novice inexpensive DSLR and I was told there was no such thing. They all pretty much start @ $450 and w/ that i would end up with a Pentax.

Vega, I putting down the money for a DSLR sucks but it will be well worth it. Why not and try and buy a nikon d40 or 50 body and borrow a lens kit from a friend. I've seen d40/50s body sell for 200-300 shipped. Check nikonians.com I think the site was.

Btw what lens did you get 1989civicsi

I never really hear about them.
I know a lot of people say the body of the camera feels real light in comparison to other camera.
