Offical eH squad list.
1.The word Functional means how useful something is. So you can have something not functional, sorta functional, really functional and 100% functional.
2.With my FF1s I feel that I am sacrificing a little street comfort for increased handling performance. I like them because they are able to ride on the street comfortably for the most part while being able to make the car very responsive to steering, acceleration and braking input while keeping a neutral feel that makes it a good car to improve your driving skills in.

3.The nicer the suspension components you pick the better you will be able to tune it to your needs. You can tune the dampening on certain coilovers and that way you can make it softer or stiffer which will be based on what you want the car to feel like. The more money you spend on coilovers usually means you can get something that can have better ride quality and performance at the same time.
4.A stock ride height is functional for everyday daily driving. In turn the car has a lot of body roll and decreased traction due to the weight shifting away from the top of the tires.

1. thanks for the definition and once again the breakdown is very opinion related to the eye of the beholder.
2. it might be a good car to learn with but a better car would be a stock setup either on track or on course. then modify from the point one step at a time then you will understand what the changes do when the given modification is made.
3. i agree. i myself like to have a "nice" suspension set up. but to that point i have seen/rode in cars with "not so nice" of setups. one car i rode in had oe itr dampers with ebay coilovers. something i personally would not run but actually rode very well for what i was expecting. the driver was very experienced and the was basically a stock ej1.
4. weight transfer is something that you can use to your advantage. you can use weight transfer to help the rotation of the car which is something a ff car needs.(inserted pic as example) people think that a car with less roll is a great handling car or to "handle on rails". i used to believe that myself but i now know that it is false. the thing about stock classes are they get to change their dampers. so normally these top runners will be running specially valved dampers that they run full stiff to add "roll resistance". so just because it is at stock ride height doesnt mean that it will have the roll characteristics of one.

Jeff told me about that... I want the kw v3's, but I can't justify that cash... I'll be settling for some BC racing coilovers. and as of right now, I'm hoping I don't need too much camber... but I'll have 18x9's. how much camber are you looking at having to run to fit 255's with your wheels?.
Jeff get what you can afford and what suites your needs...me im just greedy and i want the best and for the s2k... kwv3 are the best bang for the buck...even thought it was a lot of bucks lol...i just wanna go hit the track and its about time now and i rather roll there with stock suspension then the flex so that is why i opted to sell the flex and get kwv3... the gf just beat me to the punch for my bday lol...now i just got to find the right setting for them...not used to adjusting rebound and compression...

Im running -3 in the rear right now and i still need more...f'n sumitomo are so wide and there sidewalls are so round.. **** is making it impossible for me... ive never seen such round *** sidewalls...KWv3 are great soft enough for street driving and serious enough to track on some street tires...still would like to get a bump in spring rates in the future... james your wheels would be easy as pie compared to my **** 17x9.5+35...what offset are you getting? it all depends on your offset how much you will need to camber. im sure you wont have to much trouble fitting 18x9 as long as your offset arnt to low...u planning on rolling your fenders?

I want the exact stance of this car

I've still got to buy coilovers(since I'm on springs that aren't stiff enough, nor well dampened enough to manage the wheel/tire combo comfortably), possibly rear camber plates(if I stay under -2, I should be able to adjust with just camber bolts in the rear and no plates), and then I've got to find someone to roll my fenders the 'right' way. and I still haven't fully decided on a tire size, I think I'll be going with 235/40s.. so much to think about just to put some damn wheels on...lol
I just want this wheel/suspension thing over with so I can finally get a bigger snail under the hood.

yea, mine should be relatively easy... should be slight camber, and rolling my fenders. my offset is +35 also. I actually wanted the 18x9.5's.. but that'd require more work. and I will be driving mine daily. I'm trying to minimize the amount of camber I'll be forced to run, while still having the ride height and wheel diameter(and wheel face) I want.. buying tires frequently is not high on my list of things to do.

someone that feels my pain...this was a 1.5 year ordeal for me...but my picky-ness had a lot to do with it and it doesnt even include my 5month wait for my rims lol... but damn that suby has some stretched tires...im trying not to stretch my tires to much...i drive mine daily james its not hard parked car! hahaha i guess i gotta prepare to flip and buy new tires all the time now but that is the reason why i want 245(slight stretch) so that i can go with a lower negative camber...to bad my alignment appt is tomorrow and i dont wanna go through the hassle of looking for new tires by tomorrow...its the only fcken time i got so i gotta burn these out and buy smarter next time...does anyone know any cheap tires that have flat and stiff sidewalls like bridgestones or azenis? azenis just run to wide to me and falkens got so expensive almost competing with dunlop star spec and to me the star spec r way better...

not much g, you?
