lol....oh the days of being stupid. well it would only be you, terrell, and jeff. jeff wants a set for his teg. either way i like them compared to my agx ground control set up. and as far as the koni yellows go im going to spend more on the shocks it seems then my full set-up.

true but to most that is alot. i spent i think 1250 on my teins and paid 1150 for just my koni races which was with a hookup. it comes down to what the person wants spend their money on. i like to spend mine on suspension/tires/brakes and track days. but i have a buddy with a big ol turbo motor on stock brakes rear drums included and stock suspension. what ever floats your boat which a oreo blizzard floats mine.
Progress is a killer setup too.

I love my Koni/GC setup though.

I wouldn't even be buying coilovers if my current springs were a little stiffer and weren't already noticeably underdampened. but for the look and performance I want, coilovers are the only way to get there.

I agree, but its still not that much. hell, I'm going el cheapo status on my subaru's coilovers and still spending over a grand. there are some proven setups out there for each car, and the hondas are fortunate to have GREAT low dollar setups. I just think its laughable that $700 for the koni/gc setup is too much for the guy that bought lots of different parts that do the same thing more than once for the same car.

Yeah I paid $630 shipped for my FnF Type 1s with blox LCAs and I like them. They can slam the car lol. I'm super dropped and can go another 2 inches easily. I need to raise it up a bit though, the roads around here are raping me and I always scrape chassis going into my driveway. As far as performance goes these are really good for an autocross setup I would assume. Judging how I'm able to take turns and whatnot. Its kind of rough on really shitty roads but overall the suspension is really good for the money. It rides nice, I love turning left and right haha. 10K and 6k. Not bad!

This is not a valid assumption though. My car makes noises on a solo course that I can't get it to make on the street. That's how much different driving a car to and beyond it's limits is.

yeah i dont like to skimp out in the suspension area but i wont lie to say ive rode with a very experienced driver on track with itr oe dampers and ebay coilovers. car was on r comps but from the passenger seat the car felt very predictable. i just know the "jap crap" has very poopy dampening for daily driving but on the track not as bad..but still the koni/gc is night and day different than the teins.

lol wut! These coilovers are good. For someone thats looking for a really good drop, these will do just that. For someone thats looking for a functional coilover, keep em at a functional height and you can enjoy hugging corners while still maintaining a good ride on the street. You can go low with these and not loose suspension stroke however you will bottom out your chassis before you bottom out the suspension. If youre too low your upper control arms will be hitting the shock towers so I wouldn't recommend going too low with these or any coilover for that matter. Basically you either run stiffer spring rates or bottom out.
I don't have a problem with scraping my tires on the fenders, its the not being able to clear certain speed bumps and go over manhole dips without my UCAs hitting the shock tower a little.

well what you basically said was im super dropped and it hugs corners very well.
now you just said they can be used to slam it but wont handle that well unless it is at a "functional" ride height.
which brings me to something else. what exactly is "functional ride height"? i mean a super slammed car can drive down the road and a super lifted chevy can drive down the road. is one more "functional" than the other?
and to gabes point..hugging corners on the street is nothing like tracking or being on course at autox. i too used to "spirited drive" and thought i was pushing my car to the limit. ummm not even close. my first track event my instructor signs me off and says "without me in he car it will handle differently." i thought to myself..ive driven hard with people in the car and by myself without a difference. so i go out..pit exit is in 2 i used 3 to check the brakes 4 is a kink and 5/6 is a double apex..first lap out i come out of 6 sideways. i was like damn..he was right.
and on that note since i started tracking/autoxing i havent done spirited driving as in bombing the back roads it.s not worth it especially not that i have a family started. on course or on track it is a closed "track". can something happen yes. but you are in a safe enviroment where you dont have to worry about deer or cars coming from the other direction. so in turn you can then push the car even harder.
