It is a VTEC. D16Z6. I don't know if you know but the 92-93 D16Z6s had that valve cover with just the Honda logo and name under it. The 94-95 had VTEC written on it.

The motor isn't original, its a 92-93 one. 140k miles.

 

I didnt know that. The only D series Ive ever had was in my 94 DX. The D15 was on its last leg when I bought it, it was bypassing compression into the radiator (cyl 3). So now Im in the process of changing some things over into better things .

 

What motor is going in? What else is in store for it too?

I don't know why but I got very motivated today. I'm going to start getting parts together to get this rear disc conversion on. Replace my ball joints,tie rods and find integra gsr front knuckles to upgrade my front brakes.
I'm already thinking about wheels for next year too lol. I got a few in mind but prolly won't decide for another few months.

I forgot to add, ebrake cables came in. Hopefully they are the correct ones (93 SI) for my rear disc setup. Del Sol's didnt work (too short). Either way Im putting in work. Ive been sitting on my hands too long.

 

 

jeff the si cable's will be the right fit. i'll keep you posted man. its all depending on me getting a new job.
