lol I justdon't get it.. it looks goofy and then the front end of the hood doesn't look like it fits correcty. and then any air that you are 'venting' has already passed by the air filter and radiator.. therefore adding no gain.

as for having to do it.. it doesn't seem like it adds that much clearance.. if I could section parts of the underside of the hood instead, I'd do that... but that's just me.</TD></TR></TABLE>
all that does it help under hood temp's over all. like ty's car run's hot as [freak] now and he;'s even talking about doing it to let the hot air move out of the bay for engain temps. MY HOOD HA BEEN CUT REMEMBER WHO I GOT IT FROM. Its not that i want to but with the h2b the motor doesnt set at that tilt it has in a prelude and it raise the motor a tad bit to worry about clearnce, but for real if that's the worst i have to worry about i'll be fine. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Nautical_Star &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I don't know what strange fantasy ricer land you live in, but I know that *I* never said I was considering that. As a matter of fact, I recall saying something along the lines of "that **** is gay."

You are right about one thing though, and that is my under hood temps. I distinctly remember saying that I was going to buy header wrap to help out with the temps, since the water temperature in normal, so it must be the header. Another thing I remember was that *YOU* came up with the idea of "venting" the hood...to which I immediately shot down.

Facepalm strikes again.

but a small amount of hot air being released does nothing for internal engine temps.. the only places it really could matter are at the radiator or intake, which are both located at the front of the bay and get the coolest air allowed into the bay.
after the caps lock part, I lost you.. I'm going to assume alcohol was involved.

even the 97 itr? I'm really just asking.. since it's not like you see too much 97 info just laying about.

I just updated my build thread, check it out, you can barely make out James and Rasberry in one pic, and Brian's white arms in a few others:

Will do. I gotta go to H&A and try to get my money back for that LCA I bought for no reason, hopefully I can trade it for an engine bracket.

I think you might of confused terrell with me. I was considering doing the hood lift see if it would help with my under-hood temps;for as that i feel like my cooling fan comes on too often. I'm coming to the conclusion that its just THAT hot here which make it really hot under my hood and will make water temps rise quicker than in the winter.

And to touch on your heat shield theory jeff. The exhaust manifold shield wont help keep the temp under his hood down in terrells car.

Im hoping to look for something that will help coolant retain a cooler temp or to try and find a complete better way to cool my car down.

Charlie, post pics of the shell!!!

werd raising the hood was just a big fad for people to do. but it does help cool down the engine bay temps pretty good. i never did it since i live in seattle and its always cool here. its understandable to do when your in a hot enviroment.

it would help keep the heat from his a/c line's more then right now...but he got it figured out. As for why i'll being doing it is now under the i've been reading as much as i can about it now. learn as much as i can and get some things squared away first.

I called it about both things, I told Rasberry that Brian was going to get sick of the drive, and I told Lil' Jeff that Rasberry would sell his AC before installing it (that wasn't hard to guess though).

I told you the other day that the drive sucks between Visalia and Fresno. I can't imagine doing it 3x a week for longer than a semester. I have a MWF class from 8-8:50, and nothing else on those days (except a physics lab on wednesday from 2-4:50), so hit me up on those days since I'll probably have nothing going on. TuTh sucks for me, I have 3 hard classes in a row...

And Rasberry is right (it happens from time to time) about keeping the AC lines cooler, I hope that header wrap (for the stock header) will help out, and I will probably get those special velcro wraps for the AC lines.

Yeah, but this is the 100th swap you've "looked into." You'll probably change your mind next month/week, and try and buy that 160mph Integra that guy was selling haha.
